The Saloon is a cafe, restaurant and bar located in Tokyo that pulls influence from classic English style. It features a menu that features modern British cooking with an emphasis on homemade cooking. The overall identity uses restraint in the color palette which makes the only color used, a minty green, pop with every application. The brand is an exercise in typography design where the letterforms have been carefully considered with a keen eye on what they communicate. The remaining touch points are minimal in design, but rather than being perceived as an afterthought, the textures of the application take on a style and feel that supports the overall aesthetic. Simplicity is reigning supreme here, and that’s not a bad thing at all.
