It’s a safe bet that when Chevys Fresh Mex approached Hub Strategy about branding their Mexican restaurant, a key word in the equation was “fun”. The resulting brand identity revolves around the drink offerings from Chevys and the fun you can have with them. They’re presented on the drink menu with identifiable colors for the food but colorful enough and with enough graphic images to denote a little more than a drink. The fun attitude of the brand goes well beyond the presentation of the menu. Much of the graphic elements used in branding employ creative slogans that drip with sarcasm, particularly the restroom posters. The in-store posters have a pop-art quality employing the color scheme and easily-identifiable images to create the essence of a good time.
