Winter Milk ice cream shop branding

I love it when a project has such comprehensive photography, and – more importantly – comprehensive thought and creative. Most dessert shops fell into this super synthetic look with the rise of froyo. Winter Milk isn’t a departure from this general feel, but has executed a look that feels more authentic and crafted. Sure, the walls are plastic, but there’s a bit of nostalgia mixed in which gives it a kitschy, fun feel.

The typography is clean, simple and modern. It’s supported by little else than a simple bounding box that’s a rounded corner diamond. This style is directly influenced by cafeterias and food dives of the 1960s where hand craft was just the way things were done.
