On a whim I reached to James after I spotted his Hobeaux type design. It struck me as bold that he’d attempt to brush up a typeface that had been relegated to The Land of Misfit Fonts. Then I read his journey leading up to and through the redesign and fell in love with the thinking. This week I have the honor of chatting with James Edmondson, a type designer on the West Coast who’s foundry is just starting to make waves. Find out what inspires him, why he loves type, and more insider info behind the man behind the type audaciousness.
