45 Degrees is a pizza joint in Richmond, Australia with attitude. Brand Works took inspiration for the brand from the streets of Melbourne, tapping into the graffiti culture present in the 80’s and 90’s to create a brand with an urban, but still approachable feel. A couple details not to miss: a graffiti artist was commisioned to create the 45 Degrees logo, and a couple of secondary tags used throughout the brand, so no pre-made fonts here. Additionally, I really love the ligature in the 45, connecting the two in a way that it looks more like an artists’ tag than a pair of numbers. The pizza boxes as well are unique and eye-catching; its an extra design step taken for restaurants that usually buy premade boxes to go ahead and brand (and produce!) their own.
