Bagel & Fox Cafe Branding by Ceren Burcu Turkan

Led with a beautifully classic orange-red icon depicting a fox drinking a coffee, the brand identity for Bagel & Fox Café is striking from the onset. Café brands tend to be an open canvas for wildly imaginative design systems. For Bagel & Fox, the design approach is one of confident, reserved excellence.

The identity uses a limited color palette where natural stone tones enhances bold orange-red pops. These pops are employed with a precise purpose to give attention only where necessary.

Monospaced, rigid typography plays well with more organic illustration and patterns to create a beautiful dichotomy that symbiotically elevates each element.

For the packaging, designer Ceren Burcu Turkan has used a tip on sticker with a uniform coffee pouch. This allows each sticker to hold a custom design to depict the coffee style without breaking the bank on printing packaging for each. Another sticker is added to the top that features the secondary mark creating an upscale touch.

The secondary mark is a monogram of a B and an F. The B letterform is intersected with a diagonal line to create the F with a touch of witty minimalism.
