Taf Coffee is a roastery based out of Greece that seeks to educate coffee amateurs the importance of a good brew. They have a back-to-basics approach with their espresso and how they educate their consumers, and this is reflected in their minimal brand. Meticulous instructions are printed on each kraft coffee bag, and a bright blue circle punctuates each design. The placement of the circle is important; it’s centered on the bag’s one-way valve, really inviting the consumer to put their nose up to it and take in a deep whiff of the espresso. The sky blue, to me, also seems like a direct reference to Taf’s origin in Greece, the blue being reminiscent of the Greek flag and tilework often associated with the country.
