Ever heard of Cantabrian cuisine before? Me neither, until this project. Cantabrain cuisine is based around the products that can be found around the Cantabrian sea; the part of the Atlanta ocean between the northern coast of Spain and the Southwestern coast of France. VORS captures the classic spirit of this area; using a range of blues to represent the sea that they take inspiration from, warm earthen tones to represent the Cantabrian mountains, and neoclassical motifs to pay homage to the regions rich artistic history. These motifs, combined with a respect for the source of their food, elevates the dining experience to that of high art. Culinary art is featured in the same spread as fine sculpture, and the sparse typographic layouts really allow the images (of food and art) to stand out.
