Tonchin Branding & Visual Identity by LMNOP Creative

For its stateside debut, Tonchin tapped LMNOP Creative to design a brand that nodded to the restaurants’ Japanese origins, but still felt unmistakably New York City. The bulk of the visual identity consists of bold, geometric graphics that are shifted and realigned to create new and exciting patterns; the combinations of patterns is seemingly endless, and each on a visual treat for the eyes. My favorite thing about this project is how the brand is injected into every possible application; the bowls and scarves feature the custom pattern work, and LMNOP was able to work closely with a ceramicist, interior design firm, and textile artist to carry their vision onto the dinnerware, interiors and even uniforms.
