Inspired by everything from eclectic Italian signage and Matisse cut-outs to the color palette of Mediterranean coastal landscapes, Here Design created a colorful, lively visual identity for Sardine. The overall look is casual and unfussy with an artistic twist. Informed by the myriad of signs and typefaces around the Mediterranean, our the wordmark’s flowing letter R became a subtle link to the sea. With the supporting visual language drawn from paper cut-outs and torn paper collage that evoked sun-drenched coastlines, Here found an easily adaptable design resource that could be used across menus, business cards, flyers and the website.
