Hotpot is a Chinese cooking method, in which a pot of simmering soup sits in the center of a dining table, with an assortment of East Asian ingredients bubbling away inside. The visual identity features beautiful landscapes represented in a traditionally East-Asian brush style, with the restaurants’ mascot, a deer, of course, exquisitely rendered out of a few simple lines. The overall identity is modernly upscale with touches of tradition; beautiful luxe papers and menu covers contrast sharply against the sharp sanserif used across the menu, interspersed with brushstroke shapes to soften the look.
