Frozen food isn’t the most exciting sector of the food industry, but that doesn’t mean good design can’t be found there. La Sirena (The Mermaid) is a Spanish chain of frozen food stores specializing in fish and seafood. Morillas Branding revisited everything from their brand, to the retail experience, to the frozen food packaging to move La Sirena forward and connect to a younger target audience obsessed with foodie culture. A quick google search shows their old retail and packaging experience as dull and drab; uninviting and playing up frozen foods practicality more than anything else. Morillas has injected warmth and life back into this brand, and to the interiors specifically by incorporating warm wood tones and better designed point-of-sale posters.
