The crew at Masif, from Medellin, Colombia, has a knack for mishmashing texures, colors, and elements. What would sound like a mess of a design actually turns into a unique interior experience that’s quite memorable. Their design work for Rota displays their style quite effectively. It’s old world deconstructed into modern day. It’s the type of style you get when a classic interior isn’t outright renovated, but is instead decorated and fixed up as needed. Their use of graphic and typographic treatments throughtout the restaurant anchor things to a common feel and vibe. Collectively, the experience is concise albeit a hodgepodge of visual pieces. Excellent and unique.
