Sure, it may be slightly off topic for this blog, but the work is beautiful and in light of recent events, I thought it quite timely to post. The Wing is a social club for women only that “offers a multi-purpose home base for getting things done, or recharging and not doing much at all—a place where women can work and connect while they take on the world.” The work, designed by Pentagram, is an exercise in celebrating the diverse personalities and strength of the fairer sex. Although based on pastel colors, the brand’s identity isn’t cliché feminine. It’s a great mix of soft and strong due to the employment of bold, compressed black typography mixed with classic type and illustration.
