Maku is a poke restaurant located in Cancun, Mexico. The name Maku came already attached to the project before it landed with the designers at Wikka, so from there, they decided to create a story around the name and evolve a visual identity and interior suite around that story. They imagined Maku as a secret beach in Hawaii, a paradise that few will know. Inspired by the natural colors, rolling landscapes, and picturesque scenery of this imagined paradise, the resulting graphic language that is fresh and laidback.
