North Pier Lighthouse in Benton Harbor, Indiana, is the main inspiration for this brand, serving as a symbol of guidance and a landmark of the community, it was what founder Jay Fettig wanted to evoke with this brand. Recognizing the cliché of a lighthouse, CODO Design chose to get rid of that figure and rather focused completely on the light itself. That’s why the brand plays with rough industrial typography and straight angles of beaming light coming out of it, that tells the story of a town and a brewery with charm and resilience regardless of adversity.
