Sometimes you just can’t go wrong with a classic look. That is what Salvador Munca has created for Aletón, a seafood restaurant out of Morelia, Michocacan, Mexico. It features an interesting take on an icon we’ve grown familiar with thanks to Starbucks’; the siren. This one, however, is male, making you look twice. The siren is displayed almost as an ornament; hands outstretched, holding up brand letters, with his two tails curling underneath him. Rendered in a crosshatch illustration style, the siren seems like it was plucked out of a historical map of the sea, one dotted with sea monsters. The main brand type, too, features a lovely, hand-scrawled texture, as if written with a quill.
