One of the key efforts by Paperview Design‘s work for the Beirut based Gem restaurant was to maintain the familiar and soft aspects of the restaurant’s current location, interior and vibe. The restaurant uses candlelight and washed-out colors inside and it’s location, under the St. Nicholas Stairs ( a popular landmark in Lebanon), offers a degree of hidden and discreet. The design of the restaurant’s name combined with the image of a lone tree is understated and provides a sense of mystique.
