Coffee Box’ Cinema Adaptation

Coffee Box is a cafe adaptation of Cineplanet, a movie-going experience in Chile. The coffee shop had a clear idea about the message they wanted their brand to send. Infinito was given the opportunity to fulfill Coffee Box’ ideas. The idea was a simple one: A coffee shop with design and identity elements linked to cinema. Simply put, these concepts merged cinema and coffee. The Coffee Box logo is appealing graphically and may not link directly to cinema, but it accompanies some of the more cinemacentric designs well. The use of the clapboard may seem too obvious but Infinito handled it carefully and set it within the color scheme and manipulated it in such a way to ensure it’s not the dominant aspect of the design but conveys the connection between Coffee Box and cinema. The interior murals also echo a similar design scheme and feature murals of people making movies they have a way of being less about the people making movies and more like art.
