Sweet Chick. It could mean anything. Nice youngster, good-lookin’ lady and prize-winning hen start the list off. Add New York City restaurant to that list as well. Sweet Chick is one of those places that gives southern tradition and cooking a good name in New York. It’s a fried chicken and waffle place with friendly folks and interiors that’ll make you feel as snug as a bug in a rug. Home-baked deserts and all-around southern-accented food with unique twists make Sweet Chick an unforgettable place, not unlike your grandma’s place growing up. Branding for the restaurant was done by No Entry Design and using the logo as the jumping-off point the whole branding has a southern feel that is more faded and comfortable than annoyingly country. No Entry did a great job balancing the countrified feel of the place without turning it into Cracker Barrel. It’s a place with southern attitude in the heart of Brooklyn and the restaurant’s slogan (“Spread love, it’s the Brooklyn way”) captures this vibe perfectly.
