First of all, I would eat at a place called Mexout all the time. Mexout serves the food you think it does and based out of Singapore, they take a few tangents that are a little unexpected. First, the background of this branding story starts with a young Mexican food savant, who incidentally lives in his parents’ basement. From there the brand of Mexout, the “Mex’perts”, really takes off. No computers were harmed in the creation of this brand and instead they opted for 20 or so hand-drawn logos, each a little different than the other. There’s of course a hanging banner on a wall, likely above where this muse’s bed would be, if he were to sleep. I love that touch. Some brands feel DIY and some brands manage to look DIY for all the wrong reasons. Mexout nails DIY in a classy and smart way, which is kind of like the ultimate irony.
