I promised a few months back that I was going to feature more food-related event branding, and today we’re featuring some older, but still just as tasty, food-event visual identities. Masticar is the most important gastronomic festival in Argentina, gathering its market producers from all around the country, along with its most prestigious restauranteurs and chefs. Yani & Guille create the visual identity system for the 2015 iteration of the festival, building upon work that they had done the year prior. What stands out about this identity is how EVERY branded touchpoint features handlettered type and handdrawn illustrations. Additionally, two typefaces that capture that hand-painted feel were also developed. Each piece feels like painted farmers market sign, playing into the idea of freshness and friendliness that this festival is known for.
