Bó has one of those visual identity systems that blends wild calligraphy and bold illustration with strict grids successfully. What Hopa Studio accomplished here is a lovely exercise in visual hierarchy. Gold for their street-art like supporting typography, pattern, and accent color. Black and white for their copy and bold, woodcut illustrations. All of which complement each other by allowing the design to have some over-the-top lux from the gold but also get right down to business with their use of an elegant, yet bold serif typeface. Their layering process allows their customers to jump back and forth between elements at their leisure; a rare accomplishment when you have two instances of content that’s both meant to be legible AND make bold statements.
