Coffee Point Branding & Art Direction by Olia Marchenko

Straight-forward and utilitarian, Coffee Point’s brutalist aesthetic is a prime example of what can be done with just the fundamentals of graphic design: typography, grids, and materials. The intriguing character of this brand is created using awkwardly large typography with minimal weight variation typically found in legal/logistical documents in the early 80s. This aesthetic is then elevated with the pops of color, small illustrative elements, and a hole punch reward system to introduce a whimsical, organic element to this otherwise machine-like brand language.

Beautifully brutal. Coffee Point by Olia Marchenko.
