Al Dente, with its bright colors and hilarious illustrations, presents itself as a comfortable modern Italian bistro with a boatload of character. The team at Fabula Branding did well to stay away from the typical Italian Restaurant tropes. You’ll find no red, white and dark green here. Instead, the palette is bright, featuring a sunny yellow and millennial pink. The main wordmark too breaks the typical format. Most Italian places seem to sway a bit more serious, positioning themselves as purveyors of the fine craft of pasta making. Al Dente doesn’t take itself so seriously; a simple, all caps san serif makes up the wordmark, with a unique squiggly N that visually parallels a noodle.
