Poco is a Sicilian street food takeaway in Leeds, offering a menu of traditional recipes made with quality ingredients imported directly from Italy and prepared by Sicilian chefs. Poco came to Passport Design Bureau wanting a brand identity that felt authentically Italian, but that also speaks to their target audience of young professionals and students. And so, they looked to Poco’s roots and delved into Sicilian culture, discovering that Sicilians are known for being the most expressive of Italians, often supplementing their spoken word with hand gestures. The logo for Poco was developed based on the gesture that means ‘delicious’, ‘just right’ and ‘a little bit’, also complementing the restaurant’s name, as ‘Poco’ means ‘a small amount’.
