Handlettering is already impressive enough on a single sign or touchpoint, but when a restaurant’s entire interior decoration consists of various handlettered typography, the result is downright stunning. Estudio Italico did just this for We Pizza, a pizza spot in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Their entire menu system, consisting of boards hanging behind the register, is painstakingly handlettered, including the descriptive text under each menu item. Decorative text in the main dining area, too, is hand-painted. Treating the brand this way results in a truly artisanal feel, letting the guest believe that if this much care was put into just the menu, the pizza must receive the same treatment.
