I walked down the renowned and beloved Magazine Street in New Orleans enjoying friendly chatter with a close friend and my wife. It was a beautiful day, not too hot, not too cold, and the company made it all the better. In the middle of what I’m sure was a riveting story told by yours truly, I was visually interrupted by a striking storefront. Enter: Sucré.
Sucré is indicative of what can be created when a brand is built with a clear strategic vision. It pays homage to Art Deco features from the typography of the visual identity through the interior decor. Subtle pastel hues establish a bright, clean baseline serving as a successful foundation to accentuate the beauty of the gold lustrous elements tastefully introduced throughout the space and the packaging.
French for “sugar,” Sucré is an expression of New Orleans and her roots. It’s an elegant coffee and confectionary establishment that showcases popular staples such as macarons, gelato, and chocolates galore. The brand’s coffee offering is respectable and noteworthy, and it serves as a lovely complement to its core: desserts.
The packaging design only makes the chocolates and macarons that much better as a marriage of deep indigo navy blues spring peachy soft pink geometric design elements. Wrapped with a matching ribbon, the packaging in itself is a visual dessert.
Sucré is a must-visit experience that will have you yearning for more. From visual identity through its product offering, Sucré is a well-orchestrated brand experience.
