Polling customers has always been a little tedious. You can use traditional means with post card surveys or digital means with email marketing or polls on your website. They’ve worked just fine, but the feedback breaks just “good enough.”
Last month Facebook released Facebook Questions. This new feature allows you to ask questions of your friends and, most importantly, your likers!
The Questions app allows you to post poll questions directly to your page and fans of your page. This tool is a powerful asset as you make day-to-day or week-to-week decisions like the types of specials you should run, did patrons enjoy a particular promotion and/or do people like Groupon, Blabberbug or other promotions you’re running.
Polling your patrons regularly keeps them engaged with your restaurant brand which gives them a sense of ownership. This sense of ownership is invaluable as it creates an attachment to your restaurant that’s hard to break.

I still don’t know how I feel about the FB Questions. I’m not sure I like being asked things, especially if they aren’t things I’m directly interested in.
