Iterating on a classic is no easy task. Vermouth, for those unfamiliar, is a fortified wine that has graced glasses since the 19th century, enjoyed on its own as an aperitif or mixed in cocktails. There has been a resurgence in the beverage sector as of late, with the rediscovery and reinvention of vermouths, amaros, and other small-batch liquors. Kiss My fits into the later category, the result of a craft-driven approach to vermouth by two brothers from Belgium, Niels and Wouter Vandekerkhove. Kiss My features vermouths fashioned from organic ingredients found on their family farm; as such, Pearlfisher took direct inspiration for the branding and packaging design from the roots laid by the Vandekerhove family, their farm, and the land it sits on. This is apparent from the illustrations that grace each bottle; sophisticated and finessed, but still down to earth thanks to their soft ingredient-inspired color palette.
