And the winner for “Best Evaporated Milk Branding” goes to Black & White of Hong Kong. Black & White is an interesting branding case because Design Bridge was asked to take the milk brand to a more prestigious level and also help aid in the branching out into the Chinese market. The evaporated milk market is booming because it’s the key ingredient in “milk tea”, a popular beverage in Hong Kong. B&W is one of the premier business-to-business manufacturers of the milk and their rebranding efforts were meant to make them synonymous with the beverage. The result is a quirky campaign centered around icons that explain what the product is and does. Ultimately B&W wanted a brand face that would go up in shops serving milk tea to signify Black & White milk is what is used. In doing so they make the brand stronger and the custom Chinese characters helped ease them into the Chinese marketplace.
