If three “jackasses” open a bar, what should it be called? The Foundry Collective named it “The Mule” and that seems about right. The Mule is three guys that quit their jobs to open a bar and grilled cheese joint and it features a comfortable interior and while somewhat nondescript, it fits the bill of upscale “dive” bar that those three jackasses (with all due respect, they’re named Joey, Jon and Cody) wanted. A rendition of a mule is included in the logo and the structure of it isn’t unlike the building itself. An eclectic third place that isn’t home or work, The Mule is catered toward folks that just want a nice place to grab a drink or watch a game without all the pretenses that are sometimes involved with watering holes. The Mule also gets special points for providing matchbooks, a must-have for a dive.
