Designers and those creative types can find inspiration anywhere. In the case of Studio Output and the British restaurant The Curlew, inspiration came from the curlew, a bird native to the Sussex area where the restaurant is located and a bird facing extinction. Armed with the necessary muse, Studio Output took the elegant appearance and quaint vibe of the restaurant and began developing a brand. The long, slender curved beak of the curlew influenced the logo, a flowing and contoured script that Studio Output thinks resembles an ornament. From there various English countryside themes influence the overall design including wall panels, round ornamental tables and decorative plates. The resulting brand exudes a soft, almost aristocratic feel, not unlike the bird.
