The Icelandic bar and restaurant Orange chose to go with a candy theme when designer Nokkvi Thorsteinsson handled their branding. The concept works because Thorsteinsson chose to give much of the branding a bubbly treatment that delivers a sugary pop vibe without becoming overly feminine. Interesting quotes are inserted into the bar’s drink menu speaking of the virtues of alcohol and liquor and the menu maintains a colorful and vibrant theme throughout. Some of the other branding stays with the pop theme, but expands it a little more to the point of what one would expect from a high-end bar and restaurant. Some of the collateral is even in black, presenting a dressed-up version of Orange that showcases the bar’s versatility from fun shenanigans to suit-and-tie affairs.
