Vigor, a leading restaurant brand development design firm, is seeking a part time junior-level graphic designer for a number of responsibilities. We want someone that works with “vigor” in that they’re passionate about design, passionate about food, and understand that our work has legitimate, instant business effects. The candidate needs to see the bigger picture, and should be able to have fun brainstorming as well as producing.
Must-Have Experience & Skills:
» Design in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop & Adobe InDesign
» Design of logos, menus, POP, etc
» Great at production work and outputting for print and web
» Must be able to take creative direction while also contributing to the idea
» Must have an eye for detail and be a true self-starter
» 2+ years agency experience design and production
» Light copy writing (great copy writing is a plus) – Firm grasp of English
» Resourceful and problem-solving
If it were a perfect world…
» Understanding of interactive design
» Web design experience (not development, just design, but development would super rad)
» Email marketing template design
» Social media experience – marketing, tab design, etc.
» A rad sense of humor… we like to have fun
What you’ll be doing…
As a graphic designer, you will be designing everything from menus to logos, posters to ads. You’ll be integral in brainstorming on new campaigns as well as brand development. You’ll be immersed in the process of building restaurants from the ground up – graphically and some times quite literally. The work is quite fulfilling and the environment is fun, but we do get stuff done. Work hard, play hard. That’s how we Do it with Vigor.
The position is a part time contract to start (20-30hrs/week) with the goal of going full time. Compensation is competitive and will be discussed after portfolio review.
