Located in a building of a former publishing house, the Publicist is an open kitchen restaurant with higher-end food and drink. The identity takes the building’s former tenant as inspiration to fuel a gritty, traditional print brand identity. From woodblock typography to embracing imperfections created by the rudimentary style of printing, the brand identity for the publicist takes the ‘industrial chic’ aesthetic to an all-new level.
The menu systems jump out to me as something special. They’re rough in the best kind of way. Multi-layered and using different styles creates the feel of a press room editor’s desk file.
