El Chancho is a Brazilian restaurant specializing in sandwiches, grilled meats and strong drinks. Reygs Lima rebranded the restaurant after it had been in operation for five years, and noticed an urban thread through the brand that he decided to bring to focus in the visual identity. The old logo, containing a typical butcher-style representation of a big broken into segments, has been revisited with new, meaner looking hog to portray this attitude. Lima also developed some custom typography for the logotype, that comes to life beautifully when animated. A simple and classic color palette of red, black and white easily connects to the rebel persona that El Chancho is trying to portray, and the illustrations of a personified pig gang across the visual system bring it all home.
