Jota Team had an interesting job a few years back when they were hired to do some design work for Submarino, a restaurant inside the Oceanographic complex in Valencia, Spain. The restaurant is essentially underwater and surrounded by seas of swimming fish. That’s a unique setting and environment so Jota had a lot to work with. Using the inspiration of bubbles, they designed a menu for use in the restaurant that resembles a bubble. It’s softly designed and achieves the goal of creating a sensation of holding bubbles in your hand as you’re surrounded by fish. It’s a subtle treat, but it’s effective and is a great example of design that uses existing elements to influence the creation of something memorable.
