One review for Dallas restaurant and lounge The Cedars Social likened a visit to a flashback to the 70’s and the swinging lifestyle some in that era chose to live. You won’t go home with the wrong spouse if you visit The Cedars Social, but the branding, done by One Fast Buffalo, creates an exclusive, yet open, vibe. While much of the interior of the restaurant is a hodgepodge of furnishings and styles from multiple eras (50’s, 60’s and 70’s are all covered), the remainder of the branding has a much more modern feel. “The Cedars Social” shows up bold on any logo used for the restaurant and often they’ll use a grouping of a repeated pattern. Frequently images from the bar accompany the logo, allowing the branding to not just allow you to imagine what may be going on inside, but let you see it also. Seeing what you’re missing is a strong branding technique and One Fast Buffalo uses it well. The Cedars Social portrays fun, but doesn’t feel like what happens inside is out of your tax bracket. Cool and hip isn’t always all-inclusive, but this Dallas bar and restaurant is open to all.
