Mithra is the god of the sun and wisdom, but the word also means “friend.” From this epicenter, the team at Lasca Studio created a brand that celebrates the positions of the sun in the sky. From there they developed a narrative and crafted a playful expression that’s quite unique in the craft beer world. Characters were illustrated for each composition and mixed with colors evocative of the sun’s many colors from dawn to dusk.
The brand identity mixes strong, confident typography with the chaos of high contrast illustrations. This creates a strong, masculine brand that simultaneously infuses a sense of whimsy. The packaging starts with a simple, confident basis, which empowers each beer style to shine with its own uniqueness.
